Autistic & neurodivergent burnout counselling
Burnout can feel like more than being tired. You may feel exhausted, overwhelmed or unable to manage things you previously could. Sounds, light, touch, social interaction or everyday demands may also feel harder to tolerate.
If you’ve spent a long time masking, pushing through or trying to fit into environments that don’t work for you, counselling can offer space to slow down, understand your sensory world, capacity and needs, and explore what might support you.
What can neurodivergent burnout feel like?
Counselling isn’t about getting you back to being productive as quickly as possible.
We can explore what may have contributed to your burnout, understand your sensory needs, limits and capacity, and consider what could make life feel more manageable, authentic and sustainable.
My practice is neuroaffirming, which means we won’t approach your neurodivergence as something that needs fixing.
