Neuroaffirming practice is at the heart of how I work. It recognises that there isn’t one “right” way to think, communicate, process information or experience the world.

Rather than seeing neurodivergence as something that needs to be fixed or corrected, we can explore your experiences, needs, strengths and challenges with curiosity, compassion and without judgement.

You don’t need a formal diagnosis. You may have a diagnosis, be waiting for an assessment, self-identify, or simply be beginning to wonder whether you might be neurodivergent. You’re welcome either way.

Neuroaffirming counselling for adults

Multiple hands of different skin tones and sizes are laid flat on a wooden surface, with fingers spread out. The hands are arranged in a horizontal line, showing a range of hand sizes and skin colors.

Counselling that adapts to you

There isn’t one correct way to do therapy. I’ll work with you to make counselling feel as comfortable and accessible as possible.

That might mean having more time to process questions, being comfortable with pauses or silence, using written prompts or notes, having your camera off, taking breaks, or being more direct and clear in the way we communicate.

There’s no expectation around eye contact, body language or how you “should” show up in counselling.

Making sense of your experiences

You may be navigating masking, burnout, overwhelm, fluctuating capacity, identity or a late diagnosis — or simply feeling exhausted from trying to fit into ways of living that don’t always work for you.

Together, we can explore what takes energy, what helps, what your needs might be and what feels sustainable for you.

We can also recognise your unique strengths and capabilities, rather than focusing only on difficulties or on things you feel need to change.

A collaborative approach

My approach is person-centred, with psychodynamic and CBT ideas available when they are helpful.

I won’t assume I know what is best for you. We can work together to understand what feels helpful, adapt the pace and approach, and find ways of living that feel more authentic, manageable and meaningful to you.
